Recently, we had a visit from a gymnast from Team GB, Oakley Banks! He showed us the medals he has won in the past, and many of us got to try them on. He was an impressive athlete, he walked round the whole school hall on his hands, and he even did a backflip over Mr D! You can see a short video of him walking on his hands in our hall here.
He led us all through a range of exercises, which we had been sponsored by family and friends for doing, to raise money for the school and we raised over £700! He also told us all about the training and perseverance needed to become a professional athlete. It was so much fun, and we had a really great day.
