HALO

Healthy Active Little Ones

Introducing the HALO project. This project is funded by the government and run by East Sussex County Council. HALO stands for Healthy Active Little Ones. During the next school year and beyond the school nursery team have committed to support and promote the health and well-being for all the children, families and staff at Ditchling school nursery.

We have reflected on our practices across a range of health and wellbeing areas including Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Wellbeing including the prevention of accidents, Oral Health, Selfcare and Independence, Speech, Language and Communication, Immunisations and Adult Wellbeing. Please find below a selection of information leaflets on a variety of subjects that are covered by the HALO award. The nursery has a HALO folder with paper copies of these leaflets in, please ask at the nursery gate if you would like any.

Part of the HALO excellence award has required Miss Tara to attend an accident prevention course. She enjoyed the training and said that it made her more aware of possible accidents in the nursery/home enviroment. She has been asked to share these links with you.
