On Thursday, we boarded a coach ready to take an exciting adventure to Peacehaven Waterworks. On arrival, we were greeted by Kim and Sophie – two of the 6 members of staff at the site – who gave us a vital safety briefing to prevent us contaminating everyone’s water supplies. After that we took part in a workshop (all about preventing sewage in the sea) and a tour of the waterworks. On the tour we got see the many toys, phones, false teeth, golf balls, and watches that have made their way in the pipes. As well as seeing the lost items we become familiar with the pieces of water cleaning equipment.
