Brilliant Bug Hotels

Last week, Year 6 took part in a fun and eco-friendly bug hotel building competition during their Forest School session. Working in teams, the children used natural materials like sticks, leaves, pinecones, and bark to create cosy habitats for insects and other mini-beasts.

The competition encouraged creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of local wildlife. Each bug hotel was judged on its design, stability, and how inviting it would be for bugs to move in!

Well done to all of Year 6 for their fantastic effort and enthusiasm – and congratulations to the winning team for building a bug-tastic home fit for a beetle king!
