Museum Workshops

This week, our classes have been taking turns to visit Ditchling Museum for a special hands-on weaving workshop. The children had the chance to explore traditional techniques and learn about the rich history of weaving in the local area.

During their visit, pupils tried their hand at using looms, experimented with patterns and textures, and even created their own mini woven pieces to take home. The museum staff were fantastic at bringing the craft to life and sparking the children’s creativity.

It’s been a brilliant opportunity for the children to connect with local heritage and develop new artistic skills – and everyone came away proud of what they had made!
