Our school had the amazing opportunity to take part in a Paralympic Sports Day hosted by Brighton & Hove Albion in the Community. The event was held to celebrate inclusivity in sport and give all children—whatever their abilities—a chance to try something new, active, and fun.
The day included a fantastic range of adapted activities, from seated volleyball and blind football to wheelchair basketball and Boccia. Trained coaches from Albion in the Community helped the children learn new skills and understand how different sports can be made accessible to everyone.
Children had a brilliant time working in teams, cheering each other on, and discovering that sport is for everyone—regardless of physical ability or needs.
