Peacehaven Water Treatment Plant

The year six pupils have been on an exciting trip to Peacehaven water treatment works this Thursday! The trip was really fun, and a big chance to learn about how our wastewater is treated. The class was split into two groups, and they took turns taking part in different activities. One group was taken on a tour around the site, where an instructor showed them all of the different machinery and processes that the water goes through. The other group took part in a workshop inside where they learnt about how many homes and people Peacehaven provides with fresh water and the places that they take it from. Both groups did both activities, and everyone got a chance to learn.

Year six students said that doing the tour was really fun and they liked doing the interactive tasks.
