Last Monday and Tuesday, our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils took part in a much-anticipated adventure at Windmill Hill PGL—and what a brilliant time they had!
On Monday, Year 3 & 4 spent the whole day at Windmill Hill, diving straight into a range of exciting outdoor activities. From climbing and team challenges to problem-solving games, the children showed enthusiasm, bravery, and wonderful teamwork. Many pupils stepped outside their comfort zones and gave every challenge a go—earning smiles, cheers, and a great sense of achievement. Year 3 then returned tired but happy, full of stories and pride in what they had accomplished. Year 4 got to enjoy a campfire, sing songs and roast marshmallows, and their bedtime may or may not have been a little later than usual!
Year 4 stayed overnight, enjoying two full days of adventure and even more opportunities to try new things. Activities included zip-lining, archery, and obstacle courses! The overnight stay also helped pupils build independence—making beds, keeping track of their belongings, and supporting each other throughout the experience. The children showed resilience, kindness, and amazing team spirit from start to finish.
Both year groups returned to school full of excitement and with plenty of memories to share. Staff were incredibly proud of how the children conducted themselves—encouraging each other, giving every activity a go, and representing the school brilliantly.
