Our enthusiastic Year 1 students set off on an exciting adventure to visit the historic Lewes Castle. The children explored the ancient grounds, climbing the winding steps to the top of the tower where they enjoyed stunning views over Lewes and the surrounding countryside.
The trip was a wonderful opportunity to bring history to life. Pupils learned about knights, castles, and medieval life, and were fascinated by the castle’s stories and treasures. Highlights included dressing up in period costumes and spotting real arrow slits in the stone walls!
A big thank you to the parent helpers and staff who made the day so special. We’re sure it’s a trip Year 1 won’t forget anytime soon!
