Last week, Year 6 were very fortunate in visiting the Cabinet War Rooms in London. There we discovered lots of information about how the country was run from these underground offices hidden right under the centre of London. Highlights included seeing the actual maps which were used by our armed force commanders; seeing the bedrooms and dining rooms that they used; and learning about rationing and the tiny amounts of some foods that people were meant to survive on! It was quite dark and probably would have been a bit gloomy to be down there every day.
A great day out was had by all!
